WesterUnie is notorious in Amsterdam for its wild nights in a raw and industrial former gas-fabrique. The club is renovated in recent months and now presents its own weekly program. Every friday we present a mix of established names and new talents from home and abroad.
Audiojack:
Over the last decade the twosome's initial link-up on the White Island has evolved to become a formidable outfit; rocking dancefloors from Brazil to Australia, unleashing a consistently high level of their own music and managing a label, Gruuv, that has maintained a sterling reputation for nurturing the very best in talent, new and old. Meanwhile, thanks to their fun-filled, energetic DJ sets, this past year Audiojack have been enlisted to rock dancefloors at some of the world's best-known and most respected clubs, including: Kater Holzig, Ritter Butzke & Watergate (Berlin), Sankeys (Ibiza), Rex Club (Paris), Hive (Zurich), Harry Klein (Munich), Electric Pickle (Miami), Ego (Hamburg) and the list goes on and on.
Unders:
By bringing artists such as Booka Shade, Minilogue, Locodice and Trentemoller to a variety of his early events, unders got the promoting bug and and started pushing parties & label nights for the likes of Circoloco, Dirtybird, Cadenza, Supplement Facts, Connaisseur and many others. Creating a platform for both himself and some his his favorite artists to come play. These parties and his smooth & unique dj sets quickly put him on the map.
Mr. Gibbs:
After practicing for 3 months with the turntables of his good friend, Mr. gibbs purchased his own set-up and bought his first record at Outland Records in early 2008. The urge for new unknown music began to get bigger, and the routes to the record stores started to become a habit. As a true vinyl junkie he still spins the black gold and still fluctuating between House and Techno. What now has changed is his style. What is best described as deep, dark, energetic and hypnotic from time to time. This is the sound he pushes as the organizer and resident of 4 Spirits.
