Inspired in part by the Rothschilds costume parties of the 70s and Imagine Film Festival's ‘fantastic fashion’ theme, Amsterdam Spook presents The Surrealist Ball on 15 April 2017.
Whimsical, decadent, eccentric, imaginative – we invite you to an evening of surreal costuming, absurdist theatre, deviant artistry, Catwalk of Tomfoolery and fantastic fashion.
Tear away from the clutches of the day-to-day and immerse yourself in the luscious sweet spot of your subconscious.

Costume required - and anything goes. Surrealist fashion or masked gala. Let the greats inspire: Jean-Paul Gaultier, Rene Magritte, Eiko Ishioka, Alexander McQueen, Max Ernst, Frida Kahlo, Man Ray, Bjork, Jean Cocteau, Patricia Piccinini, Matthew Barney, Leigh Bowery, Pyramid Club, Paco Rabanne, Gareth Pugh, André Breton, Lady Gaga, David Lynch, Salvador Dali, Baron Alexis de Redé, Giorgio de Chirico, Pablo Picasso, Elsa Schiaparelli, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada. Performance artists include theatre troupes, aerialist, body painter, artful fashionistas & live costume styling. Take part or take in life model painting, photographers corner, Catwalk of Tomfoolery, and fashion & art installations by local artists. And, the DJs will make sure you don’t take it all too seriously. Expect the unusual and the bizarre, as we take you by the hand and fully immerse in the surreal.

Regular pre-sale tickets: 35 euros. At the door: 45 euros
VIP Custom Styling tickets (only 100 available): 80 euros
(Plus Ticketmaster fee). In order to offer a truly decadent, intimate event, capacity is limited, so be sure to grab tickets in time.
