ADE Special: Dutch house heroes Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano welcome Copyright (UK), AN21 (SE) and others to AIR
On October 22nd 2010 during the Amsterdam Dance Event, AIR will showcase Dutch house heroes Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and their invites. The British duo Copyright and young Swedish talent AN21, alongside Sunnery & Ryan, will show us what they are worth in the main hall of the new nightclub in Amsterdam – AIR. This night will be broadcasted ‘live’ by 3FM and Dutch television channel ‘Nederland 3’.
It is going incredibly well with the career of the two headliners Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano. The gentlemen were booked several times in Pacha, Ibiza for the Swedish House Mafia events and left an overwhelming impression during Sensation in Amsterdam ArenA. They recently released two smashing tracks, ‘Snitch’ & ‘Traffic Jam,’ on Steve Angello’s label, Size Records. Enough reasons for AIR to have them host their own night during the Amsterdam Dance Event and show the dance scene why they are so hot.
The British duo Copyright, comprised of Adidas-attired Sam Holt and Gavin Mill, are known for their vocal house with gospel and Afro influences. They have released various tracks through infamous labels such as Defected and King Street Sounds and have started their own house and funky garage label, Copyright Recordings. After more than a decade in the scene, their music is well known internationally and they have given numerous successful performances around the world. Now it is Amsterdam’s turn and the duo will tell the story of where they are today, where they have been and where they are headed in the house music industry.
Antoine Josefsson, known in the house scene as AN21 and the talented younger brother of Swedish House Mafia member Steve Angello, will come to Amsterdam especially for this night during ADE. AN21 is known for his love for long sets during which he can play records from a broad range of styles, from deep and groovy house, through sexy tech-house to techno. The Swedish AN21 has learned a lot from Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, an old friend of the family, and considers them his spiritual music brothers, which can be heard in his sound. He has since learned to stand on his own two feet and has successfully hosted his own nights in the best clubs in Sweden. AN21 recently remixed Basement Jaxx’s ‘Raindrops’ and released two tracks through Size Records with his brother. At barely twenty years of age, he always tries to surprise the crowd by playing the opposite of what is expected from him. Visitors of this event will have to wait in suspense till October 22nd to find out what he has in store this time.
Aside from Copyright and AN21, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have invited several other talents to accompany them during ADE. Jaz von D has the honor of opening the main hall. Firebeatz, Groovenatics, Genairo Nvilla and Sandro Silva will show us what they’ve got in the second, recently opened, hall in AIR. All of the artists will make this night during ADE a legendary experience for every house music lover.
