Some of the greatest stories in history were told by seaman and sailors, dating back to the 14th Century.
These stories encompassed legendary tales of exploration through old sea routes into the unknown and battles with pirates in the intense winds and waves of the rough seas.
The sailors stood strong, knowing that one day they would find safe haven at the port - where their stories would be unfolded.
Down the narrow alleyways he could forget everything and discover himself during nights of cabaret and burlesque shows in the city's RedLight District. Warm summer nights of booze and laughter, lust and pleasure.
Tonight he knows he will be in the arms of a woman, unveiling his adventures to her and making sure his story lives on.
On June 8th, RedLight Cabaret is launching the summer season at the Paleis van de Weemoed, bringing Sailors and Burlesque Summer Nights in full swing to the Red Light District.
