With the new year coming I will be back in Amsterdam with my new fresh concept, Rakele Rossi Invites.

Every time I invite the best djs from Amsterdam and you all my dear friends are all invited to share this crazy and groovy night with us! Thursday 23 of January I will be so honored to share the console again with JP and resident DJ Anthony Angelo (Club NL).

Locals know Rakele Rossi and JP for their love for quality music, and the ability to infect listeners with this same affection, An affection that kept Amsterdam crowds dancing till early mornings, hundreds of times in the past decade.

Under their belt, there are countless performances at the most legendary Amsterdam locations, such as Melkweg, Dance Valley, Wooferland, Ruigoord, Paradiso, Sugarfactory and Panama to name a few.

HISTORY
Right from the start of his career in 1992 the Amsterdam based DJ JP became one of the taste makers in the Amsterdam house scene.
DJ JP started to make a name for himself at club Mazzo. And soon he found himself having residencies at the infamous Paradiso Amsterdam and at Club Stalker in Haarlem. Life was moving fast. Even that fast that after a two years residency DJ JP was snatched away from Paradiso to join the Dance Valley crew for an exclusive residency at Melkweg Amsterdam for a new night called High Quality. This club night ran more than a decade.
Melkweg was the place where his hard edged dj sets where soon to be labelled as Hardhouse. His club residency at High Quality and his residency at Dance Valley festival made DJ JP one off the pillars of the Dutch harder styles dance scene.
During his High Quality and Dance Valley residency DJ JP released six successful live-mixed compilations in the Benelux territory, which all reached the ‘classic’ status throughout the years.
Production wise DJ JP had successful collaborations with Gaz West aka Dark By Design, Captain Tinrib, Fausto and Dutch DJ Misja. Many of these tracks have been licensed for various compilation cd’s. Production wise DJ JP is currently working with BK and Dark By Design to create new tracks.

ORGANISING EVENTS// BREAKING LOOSE
In December 2005 UDC/Dance Valley stopped with the High Quality events. But that didn’t stop DJ JP in his tracks and in December 2012 Tom Harding joined forces with DJ JP to start the SSSH organisation and together they successfully brought hardhouse back to the Melkweg with numerous sold out events.
Now six years later the events are still running at Melkweg.
Besides the club nights there is also a yearly outdoor event at Stadspodium Amsterdam.
The events are hosted by none other than MC Stretch (Tomorrowland).
DJ JP and MC Stretch have a long standing working relation that stretches back to 1999 when they met for the first time on Ibiza.
For two years both DJ JP and MC Stretch where residents for the Dance Valley club nights at Amnesia.

CLASSICS HOUSE AND RETRO SETS
Next to Harder styles DJ JP is also an excellent DJ to play underground house, retro/classics or techno.
With many performances in these styles at places like Paradiso, Studio80, Mysteryland festival, Decibel outdoor and Wooferland DJ JP proved his skills time and time again.

REBELLION: TECHNO AND UNDERGROUND HOUSE.
At Studio80 DJ JP was resident dj and organiser of the techno organisation Rebellion. These club nights which started in 2008 ran for more than five years. Rebellion’s aim is to focus on upcoming local talent to support.
Besides the club nights DJ JP also presented Rebel Radio at Studio80 Radio. During this show he supported local artists by playing their music which where often still without label at that time.
With the events, radio show and DJ JP’s recording studio Rebellion creates a platform which is used to launch careers of many young and upcoming Dutch techno and house artists.

DJ MAG NL
From January 2012 until December 2017 DJ JP was also working for DJ Mag NL.
During these five years DJ JP was the tech reviewer and music reviewer for DJ Mag NL.
This placed him at the forefront of not just music but also the newest DJ and studio gear.

As co-owner of the well known Amsterdam based recordstore Groove Connection (1995 - 2005), DJ JP inspired hundreds of youngsters, of which many became well known DJ’s / producers themselves.
Throughout the years the two letters of his name have become synonymous for an uplifting set that represent that typical Dutch/German (hard)trance & hardstyle sounds mixed with UK hardhouse and techno to create that typical DJ JP style.

As a true pioneer DJ JP always tried to stay ahead on new musical developments and introduced the Dutch audience to new styles like hardtrance and hardhouse. With his outstanding vinyl mixing techniques (on 3 decks) he has rocked Holland with more varied musical styles than any other DJ.
Since his introduction in 1995 of hard-edged house at the first edition of the, in those days, world leading dance festival: Dance Valley and through his High Quality residency (1995 - 2011) made DJ JP one of the leading Dutch ambassador of harder styles.


* RAKELE ROSSI *

Rakele Rossi is DJ/producer from Arezzo, Tuscany, living in Amsterdam. She is famous for her DJ skills and versatility, she is continuously touring within Italy and Holland, where she is based right now. Recently she signed with Groom Lake Agents Artists Agency from Amsterdam promoting the godfathers of the Chicago House and Techno Detroit along the years. She is organising hers own event at Club NL Amsterdam RAKELE ROSSI Invites. Every event she invites the best Djs from Holland.

Her career started in 2008 at the now infamous Club Klang in Italy where, from day one, she became one of the residents. Here she played alongside a great number of international artists. After moving to the Netherlands she has been enjoying her great residency at the award winning Techno Tuesday Amsterdam. Has also played at other underground parties as Rebellion, Sasafras, Club NL and many more. Her first release it was on Armonia Music Recordings Italy and more to come, including her first album. She loves to share her passion with the people and connect with the crowd wherever she is playing.

Her love story with music started at an early age with both parents being international dancers. She later studied classical dance herself and was educated in music, studying Piano and Musical History. She also became an Engineer of Sound at Presslab Studio Recordings (Arezzo) and Music Container (Pesaro) has worked for several different music festivals back home in Italy.

As a passionate clubber out on the dance floor and also organizing events in the nightlife she got inspired to become a DJ to share her love of music with the people. Her energetic personality becomes apparent in her style of music. Always jumping and dancing in the DJ-booth Rakele always delivers a deep and groovy set to get the crowd moving. Her style can vary from House to Techno with a main focus on that all important groove.
