Obscure Sphinx ontstond 2008 in Warsaw, Polen. Hun muziek valt te omschrijven als post-metal, verrijkt met doom, post-rock en progressive metal invloeden. Sonic landscapes en elektronische samples worden versmolten met het geluid van een 8-snarige gitaar en 6-snarige bas. De unieke stem en charismatische performance van zangeres Zofia doen de rest.
2012 won de band de New Blood Award, de talenten competitie van Summer Breeze Open Air. November vorig jaar was Obscure Sphinx support act in de Oosteuropese tour van landgenoten Behemoth. Dit leverde de band veel nieuwe fans op. Vandaag is het de eerste keer dat we de band op Nederlandse bodem aan het werk kunnen zien, mis het niet!

They merge sonic spaces and electronic samples with the crushing combo of 8-string guitars and 6-string bass rhythmics. All of this is flavoured by a unique voice of the vocalist.
