International music and talent booking agency MN2S are proud to announce details of their always-packed ADE showcase for 2017, with three absolute legends and pioneers of house music at the helm. MN2S have handpicked three of the true architects of the genre as we know it to give the ADE crowd a serious house music history lesson.

Roger Sanchez has been a majorly resurgent force in the scene in recent years, launching a second label, Undr The Radar, to provide more underground sounds alongside the well-established Stealth Records. Back in the studio with various collaborators, his productions have once again laid waste to dancefloors the world over, continuing his impressive heritage that included chart smash ‘Another Chance’ and countless classic tracks throughout the ‘90s. His incessant touring schedule continues to take him far and wide across the world.

Few producers have a body of work so prolific and influential as Todd Terry, whose seminal work begin in the acid house heyday of the late ‘80s before he defined the sound of a genre through countless remixes and aliases in the ‘90s. The GRAMMY-winning producer continues to deliver dancefloor bombs at an incredible rate, with his InHouse Records label supporting the new generation alongside his own formidable output. Taking in all walks of house music in his sets, he has an incredible catalogue to draw from and has spawned hundreds of imitators over the years.

A Guy Called Gerald flies the flag for the UK, reminding us that it wasn’t just the American legends who helped to build the sound we know as house. From the stone-cold classic ‘Voodoo Ray’ through to his excursions into drum & bass and more recently his sublime analog house and techno workouts that join the dots between his origins and the output that followed, he has always been one of the scene’s most innovative forces. His resolutely underground sounds create the perfect compliment to Sanchez and Terry, making this a truly special line-up of DJs who will cover much ground across the night.

Taking place as always at the intimate Sugarfactory, MN2S’s ADE party will be driven by the venue’s thumping sound system and electric atmosphere and is always one of the highlights of the Dutch festival’s schedule.

Legendes en pioniers Roger Sanchez, Todd Terry en A Guy Called Gerald zullen vrijdag 20 oktober in de Sugar Factory het Amsterdam Dance Event-publiek een ware House geschiedenisles voorschotelen. De drie architecten van het genre, zoals we het nu kennen, worden samengebracht door internationaal boekingskantoor MN2S uit Londen.

Met het gevestigde Stealth Records en zijn tweede label Undr The Radar, waar er meer ruimte is voor geluiden uit de underground, is Roger Sanchez al jaren een prominente aanwezigheid in de scene. Nu hij terug is in de studio voor verschillende collabs, zorgen zijn producties er wederom voor dat overal ter wereld dansvloeren in de fik vliegen. Hiermee zet hij zijn indrukwekkende erfgoed voort, dat onder andere bestaat uit de hit ‘Another Chance’ en ontelbare klassiekers uit de jaren 90. Zijn muziek zorgt er vandaag de dag nog steeds voor dat hij de hele wereld over reist.

Todd Terry

Weinig producers hebben een oeuvre dat zo vooruitstrevend en invloedrijk is als dat van Todd Terry. Hij maakte zijn opkomst tijdens het acid-house hoogtepunt in de late jaren 80, voordat hij het geluid van het genre definieerde door ontelbare remixen en aliassen in de jaren 90. Met InHouse Records blijft de GRAMMY-winnende producent met een ongelofelijke snelheid clubknallers produceren, waar hij de nieuwe generatie support en zijn eigen formidabele creaties uitbrengt. Hij heeft een ongelofelijke collectie waardoor hij alle verschillende wegen in house kan bewandelen, met honderden imitators door de jaren heen als gevolg.

A Guy Called Gerald herinnert ons eraan dat het niet enkel de Amerikaanse legendes waren die house zoals we het nu kennen hebben gebouwd. De Brit is met zijn klassiekers zoals ‘Voodo Ray’, zijn drum & bass excursies en zijn recentere analoge house en techno altijd één van de scene’s meest innovatieve krachten geweest. Zijn resolute underground geluid creëert de perfecte aanvulling tot Sanchez en Terry, met een speciale line-up van artiesten en een gevarieerde muzikale nacht als gevolg.

MN2S

MN2S is een internationaal boekingskantoor, muziekdistributeur en label gevestigd in Londen. Het is actief in meer dan 100 landen en werkt met een verscheidenheid aan beroemdheden, sporters, artiesten, DJ’s, producers en onafhankelijke labels. Dit is MN2S’ twaalfde ADE event in Sugarfactory. Alle voorgaande edities waren ruim van te voren uitverkocht.

Amsterdam Dance Event
Tijdens Amsterdam Dance Event staat de stad wereldwijd in het middelpunt van de elektronische muziek. Voor de jaarlijkse MN2S-evenement worden enkele van de grootste dj’s ter wereld samengebracht in één van de mooiste clubs van Amsterdam. Vorig jaar was onvergetelijk met DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kenny Dope en Kayper. Gedurende de vijf dagen van Amsterdam Dance Event zijn er meer dan 2200 artiesten op 120+ verschillende locaties.
