The word “industrious” is often overused when describing artists in dance music and when correctly used, it’s rarely a sign of artistic quality. When it comes to Solomun, however, it’s bang on the mark.
The Bosnian-born Croatian has taken house music to another level via his solid productions, remixes and amazing DJsets. With a hefty touring schedule gracing the worlds finest clubs alongside his arsenal of tracks and remixes for the likes of Buzzin Fly, Freerange, Get Physical, Four:Twenty and his own Diynamic imprint, Solomun is one of the most wanted artists of the moment.
And it doesn’t end there. Solomun has also added the roles of Promoter, Radio Host and Club Owner to his list of job titles and each of these endeavours has seen him succeed and create a formidable reputation for himself.
His talent is pretty unquestionable; from the army of high profile fans like Steve Bug, Loco Dice and Ricardo Villalobos through to the critically acclaimed 2009 debut LP “Dance Baby”, which saw the likes of MixMag, Electronic Beats and even iTunes list in their top albums of the year, the responses to Solomun material are unusually unanimous.
Despite an intimidating amount of roles to balance, Solomun does so much in the same way as he manages the plethora of influences on his music, with a deft touch, a smile on his face and real honest commitment to “doing it yourself”.
Joining us for the first time is one of Labyrinth newest artists: Tomaz. This guy’s been into house since the early days. With over 20 years of experience as a DJ, producer and radio host; Tomaz can read an audience like no one else. We’re looking forward to see what he’ll do to our favourite Anvers crowd.
Next to Tomaz, Labyrinth artists Tofke and Ugur Yurt will make sure this becomes another night to remember. These guys deserve a lot of respect for creating the perfect nightlife atmosphere again and again.
