As a rule, clubs are less busy in summer, with open air festivals and sun-drenched beach parties the main attraction. So it was no surprise when people arrived late at Hearts of oaK last Friday.
However, once inside, they did not want to leave, instantly infected by Spanish don david penn's unique brand of percussive house! In fact, the people loved it so much that they wold not let us leave; we played till 4am, with the crowd still screaming for an encore. With the summer soaring on, we are proud to present another heavyweight in the game. Erick Eerdhuizen (better known to the masses as Erick E) is unquestionably one of Holland's finest house meisters. His career now spans almost 3 decades at the forefront of the scene. From a WMC (World Mix DJ championships) contender to getting his big break in the house scene thanks to Amsterdam's iconic Roxy club this guy remains a force to be reckoned with. As my friend and long-time HOUSEQUAKE partner, I know there is no-one more suitable to bring the heritage of the sound we love so dearly here to Hearts of oaK.
Also on the decks this Friday is my studio partner Dennis Quin who just released his first track on Defected Records with hot UK star Low Steppa.
