One of the the hardest working bands in the UK at the moment; Flood Of Red, debut with an energetic, solid rock record "Leaving Everything Behind." Everything is structured to perfection, the notes are hit on cue and it all sounds epic. It's a darn good business move then that the six Glaswegian chaps have released the album on their own label Dark City. They are using some brilliant marketing techniques to get the music out to the fans, and why not?
The norm at the current time seems to be bands from Glasgow that sound just like Biffy Clyro, Twin Atlantic for one. But Flood Of Red don't take the piss with their accent and the easy route. Their unique, epic, mountainous sound flows through your speakers like a controlled wailing banshee (that makes sense right?). Lead Singer Jordan Spiers doesn't use his accent to his full advantage. The vocals are tremendous, with only a hint of an accent in there. At times it kind of sounds Americana. This guy can reach new levels with his vocal pattern and it creates such a powerful attribute to Flood Of Red.
