Is it fair to call Bas Bron’s alter ego Fatima Yamaha the discovery of the year? Likely so, because after the re-issue of ‘What’s A Girl To Do’ he's been at the tip of literally everybody’s tongue. Bron is of course the mastermind behind Dutch cult act De Jeugd Van Tegenwoordig and has been hammering out quality releases under numerous aliases for ages (Seymour Bits, Comtron and Neger Des Heils to name a few). Recently he marched on to more success during our festival, where he played a brilliant live set including an extensive version of his slow-burning baby to an ecstatic crowd. After that magical Sunday afternoon and with his album due in November (via Magnetron Music) we for one just need to hear this guy in a proper club-setting.
But we’re not quite there yet, as it’s not everyday that you get to see Dekmantel Soundsystem on their own turf these days. From Tbilisi to Helsinki and back, our founding fathers have taken Europe by a storm lately landing gigs in all the major clubs and festivals such as Panoramabar, Concrete, Robert Johnson, Melt and Club To Club. That being said, this night will be the first time in 2015 where you'll be able to catch them DJ a club-show in Amsterdam, for no less than six hours all together.
