John Morales has been one of the originators of disco music for 30+ years. He was a DJ in the most influential clubs of New York in the 70's and 80's like the Limelight and Studio 54.
He is one of the pioneers of remixing and re-editing. With more than 500 mixes, for artists like The Temptations, Tina Turner, The Rolling Stones, Class Action, DeBarge, Jocelyn Brown, Shakatak, Aretha Franklin, Shalamar, Hall & Oates, Candi Station, The Commodores…
In recent years the music bug has returned rekindling his passion to be creative and expressive. John Morales returned to the DJ booth and continues to produce and remix, with three recent releases of the M&M mixes on BBE.
John Morales' sound can be described as very percussive and drum driven. For the first time in Amsterdam since decades, he will most definitely make this a night to remember…
To this one may add his degree in clinical psychology as well as his decisive contribution to the establishment of one of Portugal's most sought after record labels, Groovement, as well as being an artist in some of Europe's most visible and relevant record labels such as 4lux or Clone out of Rotterdam.
His work as a composer showcases an immense discography, and this talent as both a music creator and a highly specialized Dj have made him a regular at some of the world's most interesting stages, both in Europe as well as in the United States. His dj'ing is well known for his impecable execution as well as an enciclopedic knowledge of music, aided by an uncanny capacity to unite several aesthetic languages into one coherent and inspiring speech.
