Last month’s announcement of DGTL’s ADE plans was received with open arms by music lovers across the world. Over a span of three days in October during the twentieth anniversary of the Amsterdam Dance Event, fans of the underground spectrum regarding house and deep techno can rejoice in sets from superbly selected artists, such as Maya Jane Coles, Jamie Jones and Kölsch and many more. The ADE trilogy was brought forward together with the message that there were still some surprises in store. The first one was the addition of electronic mastermind Bonobo to the line up of kick-off event DGTL Presents Maya Jane Coles. And now, for DGTL Presents Kompakt, one final artist is to be billed for this intense event hat-trick: Maceo Plex.
The Barcelona-based DJ who has enjoying one of the most fast-moving and illustrious careers in dance music in the last few years is taking up the honours as the surprise act for DGTL this ADE. During the Kompakt night, Maceo Plex will be digging a little deeper into his record collection than you might normally expect, as he is playing next to the likes of Michael Mayer, Coma, Weval.
Whatever the story will be musically on this highly anticipated 17th of October, one can be rest assured that it is worth the wait. The first release of tickets is already nearly sold-out, so those still in need of one should not wait too long, as this news will undoubtedly result in the event picking up even more traction than it already had.
