PALMBOMEN dj set
When you are in the need of a tropical escape from the present Palmbomen provides the ideal music to dance at. The haunting vocals and hypnotic synth lines create an atmospheric sound that lies somewhere between the 80’s italo disco and 60’s psychedelica.
For this event Kai Hugo, the founder and only member of Palmbomen, will please us with a 3-hour dj set with some of his best edits. These edits mostly reminds us of the early 80’s house and dance music that is situated between the disco era and the introduction of more minimalistic house.
At this moment his career is on a rollercoaster ride with the release of his long awaited album at NON Records at the very start of this year. Since the release of his debut LP ‘Night Flight Europa’ this past January, Palmbomen has been busy working on a new side project, doing mixes for Modular Records, touring Europe with his live band, and finalizing material for a new video game.
The track ‘Stock’ is heard in the new Grand Theft Auto V. This popular game includes multiple radio stations, under which the Belgium ‘Soulwax’ where the track can be heard.

LUPE
DJ-producer Lupe is the master of disco poetry. Besides just jacking disco and house instrumentals, his music productions have lyrics and stories, tales of nightly encounters, reversed beauty, sex and power games.
MR NICE GUY
Last but not least we have Mr Nice Guy. He is especially known for his mix tapes with a special Sunday evening vibe. During Cult Club he will step of his comfort zone and plays the songs that are a bit more edgy. Listen to this man’s mix tape and you will definitely get in the mood.
