BLOCKPARTY - "Closer To Me" releaseparty
An often recurring DJ at BLOCKPARTY is the young funkateer Quinten 909. His DJ and production style blends funk, disco and house, just like his upcoming release 'Closer To Me' with professional talkboxer Mayhem on On The Fruit Records. What better place to celebrate this EP than Amsterdam's monthly alternative dance night BLOCKPARTY?
And he's not coming alone. Quinten invited the remixers on this package as well! Leon Du Star, originally from Utrecht and now living in Budapest, is coming back to the low lands for this special edition. The international heartbreaking live-act Ride The Universe will also be in town for some italo and disco flavor. Gents, please keep one eye on your girl during this set. You have been warned! To top things of we have Amsterdam's Auxiliary Tha Masterfader, the #1 roadie during Giorgio Moroder's "From Here To Eternity" tour, and his obscure disco collection.
