Dear Cartel Amsterdam friends and Kingsday lovers,

The sad news has probably reached you by now, Cartel Kingsday 2020 is canceled due to the measures of our government to fight the current COVID-19 crisis. This is a situation we all hoped to avoid, but the health and safety of our society is the only thing that matters at a time like this.

As we are committed to giving you the Kingsday celebration you were hoping for, we decided to keep this promise and extend all tickets to next year for Cartel Kingsday 2021. We know this will be a long waiting game, but we sincerely hope that your enthusiasm for this year will still remain – or grow even bigger – for next year. We promise to make it one to remember. Same date, same venue, same Cartel Amsterdam vibe.

Since all events up until June 1st 2020 are canceled now, the events and creative industry are facing some very difficult and dark times. In our 10 years of existence, we've never had to cancel an event and we’re now facing our biggest challenge yet.

Over the past months, we had numerous small business entrepreneurs and freelancers work for us in the preparation of Cartel Kingsday, all relying on an income made possible by our ticket revenue. By not offering a direct refund, we can keep supporting our industry and make sure there’s another Cartel Kingsday event next year. Hopefully you're with us on this. And at the end of the day, you will still get the party that you paid for. Just a year later. This way, we can get through this crisis and celebrate our King's birthday together in 2021.

In case you are not willing or able to join us next year, you can sell your ticket through our trusted ticket re-sale partner Tixel. Each ticket is validated when it's listed on Tixel and cross-checked to ensure it's authenticity. Prices are capped. No fakes. No duplicates.
